The Sunday Painter Gallery invites eight artists to produce work in response to a small piece of discarded cigarette ash that has lain dormant on a small structural outcrop within one of the gallery toilets for roughly over two years. Its continued presence noticed repeatedly throughout this time – and there it still lies awaiting the dizzying homage – an exhibition in response to it, in the gallery above.
