A solo exhibition by British artist Jessica Warboys whose work moves between painting, sound and light.

at French Riviera

Jessica Warboys lives and works between Suffolk, UK and Berlin, Germany. Her wide-ranging practice includes painting, sculpture, film and performance and explores themes of memory, art history, mythology and landscape.

The exhibition Tremolomoves between painting, sound and light, central to this is the Sea Painting, Dunwich (2016) and the wall-mounted relief Tremolo (2017). Sea Painting, Dunwich, a large canvas made at the seashore appears almost stretched, traversing the space and creating a wide vista within an otherwise domestic space. Smaller works Tremolo and Flex (2017), appear as knots or puzzles, entangled forms to summon and command movements of sound and light from collaborator and artist/composer Morten Norbye Halvorsen.
