the icing room (and anywhere)

Taking place across location, time, setting, mood, [[ Everyone's asking if I'm ok / No one's asking if I'm ok ]] invites participating artists to take pieces (objects, performances, interventions) to a site of their choosing, at some point over the weekend of 6-8 April. The location could be a supermarket, a spot beside a stream, the table at a pub, the castelo sao jorge, a bridge, a skip, canary wharf, the steps of the jane hotel...
Perhaps a form of colour matching, a statement, disruption, expression of a mood / anti-mood; the resulting objects will engage with the poetics—or non-poetics—of space.

[[ Everyone's asking if I'm ok / No one's asking if I'm ok ]] is an attempt to reconcile, orconfront, issues around the overwhelming nature of listings, invitations, worries about whether people will attend shows when there are twenty other happenings that night on different sides of town. A form of contemplative curation, the pieces are performed, documented, invigilated, and maybe left behind. The documentation will be developed into a publication from the icing room press

To make a submission, please email isobel.atacus@gmail.com with a brief description (with accompanying images, if possible) of your proposed piece and its location, 50 word bio, link to website if you have one.
