AMP Artist in Residence

The AMP artist in residence programme offers an opportunity to an individual or collaborative artist group to have complete autonomy of the AMP Gallery space for three weeks.

The AMP artist in residence programs aim to give an opportunity to an individual or collaborative group to have complete autonomy of the space for 3 weeks. We are keen to hear from artists wanting to use it as a studio with the opportunity to exhibit in the final weekend of the residency but we are also open to other potential creative proposals.
AMP was launched as a not for profit artist-lead gallery in 2016, opening in an old DVD shop on Meeting House Lane, Peckham. For two years AMP supported artists to exhibit and perform in the space by invitation of artists Jo Dennis and Dido Hallett. The curatorial project was paused in 2018 and the gallery space became available to hire. Because of the Covid lockdown the place has been closed up—we thought this the best time to offer it up for artists to experiment, use as a studio or however they see fit.
We are offering 3 residencies:
8th June—29th June—candidates notified by 3rd June. (submissions no later than 1st June)
1st July—20th July—candidates notified by 22nd June. (submissions no later than 20th June)
22nd July—10th August—candidates notified by 13rd July. (submissions no later than 11th July)
The chosen artist will have 24/7 access to our 25 sqm gallery. The gallery is filled with natural light and equipped with a small kitchen and toilet.
